Some of these links are playable online, some need to be downloaded - but all are free.
Links I am currently working on a new 'links' page - so watch out for changes soon!
  Cute Stuff
Esheep A little sheep walks around your desktop, getting up to all sorts of mischief. Doesn’t disturb any running programs.
Virtual Pet Fish Download this pet fish - but, make sure you feed and entertain him. I've had this pet for a while now, and it seems quite fun - plus, it makes a great screensaver.
Stress Relief Aquarium A must-try! Make sure you have your speakers switched on, when you choose which torture method to inflict upon this unfortunate aquatic creature...
The Dilbert Zone I haven't had a chance to look through this site yet, but it looks like it has some fun stuff, and I like the humour of Dilbert.
  Download Sites
Download.com The place to download all your freeware, shareware and demos. Just go straight to their site search, and look for that game or software programme that you want to try-before-you-buy.
ZDnet Downloads Same idea as download.com - I haven't tried this site myself, but it might be an alternative place to look.
Hotgames.com A download site devoted to game demos. Be a little bit wary about these - you may find you spend a few hours downloading and installing 10MB of data, for a single level of limited gameplay...
CyberZone, Inc. This site looks very good, although I haven't had a chance to look through it properly yet. It's links section alone, should enable you to find just about any software which is available for downloading.
  Online Games
Monarchy An online game with a chat forum. Build your kingdom up, join a guild, and burn down your enemy's temples - then, go and brag about it to the other players. On second thought, that might not be the best way to meet new people...
Everquest I haven't tried this one myself, but quite a few people I met through the game 'Monarchy', have recommended it. I believe that it's a similar game.
Furcadia You need to download part of this game, and then play it online. I tried it a couple of times, and never really worked out what to do - but it looked like it could be good fun. You take on the character of an animal, and then wander around a virtual world, interacting with others as you bump into them. Maybe you'll meet someone who can explain the gameplay...
Java Games A site linking to four java-based games. Your computer may not support java (if you were able to get into our chatroom, you'll be ok with these games). I only tried one of them - these are for those moments when you feel REALLY bored.
Gamestorm I only just came across this one - it looks like more java-based games. I think I was impressed by the look of the site, so I thought I would link to it and see if anyone tries it.
